Everyone wants free gift cards — Google Play, Amazon, and more. But most “free redeem code” sites are scams. Here’s the honest truth and the legit ways to actually earn them.

The truth about “free gift card generators”

Any website or app claiming to “generate” free Google Play or Amazon codes is a scam. They make you complete endless offers, share personal data, or “verify” by installing more apps — and you never get a working code. Never share your OTP, password or UPI PIN with them, and if a generator site tricks you into paying or losing data, report it on the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal. Before installing any “free gift card” app, check its Play Store data safety section to see what data it actually collects.

Legit ways to earn free gift cards

  • Reward apps — earn points and redeem for real gift cards
  • Paid surveys — many reward opinions with gift cards
  • Cashback on shopping
  • Referral bonuses
