Delete your CoinJeeto account

You can delete your CoinJeeto account and the personal data associated with it at any time. This page explains exactly how to do it, what gets removed, what we have to keep for legal reasons, and how long it takes.

1. Summary

Email privacy@coinjeeto.com from the email address registered on your CoinJeeto account with the subject "Delete my account". We complete deletion within 30 days. Some records (financial ledgers, fraud signals) are retained for legally mandated periods even after deletion — details below.

2. What gets deleted

When you request account deletion we permanently remove:

• Your profile — name, email, profile photo, Google account ID.
• Your in-app data — referral code, referral history, daily check-in streak, leaderboard entries, app preferences.
• Your Jeetos balance — any unredeemed Jeetos at the time of deletion are forfeited unless they are eligible for payout (see section 6).
• Your UPI ID and payout details stored on your account.
• Your device fingerprint and the device list linked to your account.
• Your push-notification token and Crashlytics association.
• Your support tickets and email history with us (except where we need them to enforce a fraud or chargeback determination).

3. What we retain (and why)

A small amount of data is retained even after account deletion. We keep only what we are legally required to keep, and no more.

• Payout / transaction records — retained for 7 years as required by Indian financial regulations (Income Tax Act, PMLA, etc.). These records include the payout amount, date, UPI ID, and a hashed identifier — but no longer your name or email after deletion.
• Fraud and abuse signals — if your account was closed for violating our Terms of Service (multi-accounting, bots, VPN abuse, chargebacks), we retain the device fingerprint hash and IP markers for up to 2 years to prevent the same actor from re-registering. No personally identifying fields are retained — only the irreversible hashes.
• Aggregated, anonymised analytics — counts, totals, and performance metrics that no longer identify you personally.
• Backups — encrypted Firestore backups are rotated out within 90 days of account deletion. Restored backups never re-populate a deleted account.

4. How to request deletion

Option A — Email (works for everyone)

1. Open your email client and send a message to privacy@coinjeeto.com.
2. Use the subject "Delete my account".
3. Send the email from the same address you registered on CoinJeeto (this is how we verify ownership — no other proof is needed).
4. You can optionally include your UPI ID or last-payout reference to speed up verification, but it is not required.
5. We confirm receipt within 2 working days and complete deletion within 30 days (usually within a week).

Option B — In-app (coming soon)

We are adding an in-app Delete account button under Profile → Account → Danger zone. Until that ships, please use the email flow above.

5. Timeline

• Day 0 — you send the deletion email.
• Within 2 working days — we acknowledge receipt and run a balance check (to see if any pending payouts are owed to you under section 6).
• Day 7 to Day 30 — we erase your data from production databases.
• Day 90 — your data is rotated out of encrypted backups.
• Beyond Day 90 — only the legally retained ledger entries and hashed fraud markers remain (see section 3).

6. Unredeemed Jeetos and pending payouts

Before we delete your account we check your balance and any in-flight payouts:

• If your balance is above the ₹10 minimum redemption threshold and you have a verified UPI ID on file, we will offer to pay it out first. Reply to our acknowledgement email to confirm and we will release the payout within 24 hours, then proceed with deletion.
• If your balance is below the threshold, or you choose not to redeem, the Jeetos are forfeited when the account is deleted.
• Pending payouts that are already in processing will complete before deletion — they cannot be cancelled mid-flight.
• If your account is currently suspended for fraud review, deletion will proceed but any disputed Jeetos are forfeited per section 8 of our Terms of Service.

7. After deletion

• The next time you sign in with the same Google account, CoinJeeto will treat you as a new user — your old data is not restored.
• You can create a new CoinJeeto account if you wish, subject to our Terms of Service. (One account per person remains our rule.)
• Deletion is permanent — once executed it cannot be undone, even by us.

8. Just want to delete some data, not the account?

You can also request limited corrections or deletions without closing your account — for example:

• Remove a saved UPI ID.
• Delete a specific support ticket from our records.
• Correct a name or email address on your account.
• Withdraw consent for non-essential analytics or personalised offers.

Send the request to privacy@coinjeeto.com describing what you want changed. We respond within 30 days under the DPDP Act, 2023.
