How to play 2048

5. The game ends when the board is full and no adjacent tiles match, so always keep empty cells available.

• Pick one corner for your highest tile and never let it move — most strong players anchor it bottom-left or bottom-right.
• Commit to only three swipe directions and avoid the fourth (usually up); this keeps your big tiles locked along one edge.
• Fill your anchor row in descending order (e.g. 512-256-128-64) so tiles merge in a chain like a zipper.
